My classes are very interactive. As part of their grade, I make my students participate by bringing and presenting articles in of current events relating to criminal justice, criminal law and procedure, and the courts, and/or presenting legal briefs of cases, I also expect them to be fully prepared for class. I let them know that they have to study hard throughout the semester and encourage them to create an outline of the study material in order that they can comprehend the it better. I get very much involved with those students who seek my advise in the field of Law and Criminal Justice and help them with letters of recommendations for Law School, Graduate School, and various internships or jobs that may be interest them. Every year, I serve as a Judge during Moot Court Competitions at the FIU College of Law. I am currently the Chapter Adviser to Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity (PAD), and coach of the Mock Trial teams which compete at a National Conference as well as state competitions. I am also an Assistant Chapter Adviser for the Criminal Justice Honor Society (Alpha Phi Sigma).
